Shin Ultraman

Shin Ultraman fan art based on the Ultraman design from the Shin Ultraman: A Special-Effects Fantasy Movie (シン・ウルトラマン 空想特撮映画 Shin Urutoraman: Kūsō Tokusatsu Eiga), scheduled to be released in early summer 2021.

This is a refinement of the Shin Ultraman that I sculpted in late 2019 when the maquette was revealed at Tsuburaya Convention 2019. I have started to work on the sculpt again when the statue of Ultraman was revealed last month. This sculpt will be based on the 2020 statue.
The 2020 design has some minor differences from the 2019 maquette. He looks more heroic now than the giant silver alien look in 2019. (Honestly I like the giant silver alien better, something different.) He looks like a cross between Ultraman Type C mask with Type B body. However they still retain some alien elements in the anatomy, such as the un-natural shape on the arm and thigh.
